Aims & Scope
A Quarterly, Online, Open-access & Peer reviewed International Journal
The International Journal of Reverse Pharmacology and Health Research (IJRPHR) is an Quarterly open access journal publishing evidence-based, scientifically justified research, which publishes original articles, Reviews, case reports, systematic and meta analysis etc relating to reverse pharmacology, traditional medicine research of all regional cultures and Health research aspects(Public health). International Journal of Reverse Pharmacology and Health Research (IJRPHR) has mainly focused on reverse pharmacology and applying those into a health research in terms of clinical and public health research. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository.
The Journal provides a global platform for discussion, perspectives and research on Reverse pharmacology and public health work of both Eastern and Western complementary medicine and welcomes articles from all medical perspectives. The scope of Reverse pharmacology is to understand the mechanism of action at multiple levels of biological organization and to optimize safety, efficacy and acceptability of the leads from natural products, based on relevant science/health research/Public health research. Reverse pharmacology can be a bridge for translational medicine from the traditional medicine to clinical practice. Such an effort would make healthcare delivery locally relevant and may lead to global discoveries in natural products. But it is essential that we develop multidisciplinary R and D teamwork and infrastructure for reverse pharmacology.
The term "health research," sometimes also called "medical research" or "clinical research," refers to research that is done to learn more about human health. Health research also aims to find better ways to prevent and treat disease. Health research is an important way to help improve the care and treatment of people worldwide.
Broad focus
Lot of scope to Understand the mechanisms of action at multiple levels of biological organization, To optimize safety, efficacy and acceptability of the leads in natural products, based on relevant science. Despite a vast potential and possibilities only a-very few success stories has been reported and documented in Journals and electronic versions so far. Most of the work in this field has remained within clinics of traditional practitioners or confined to academic research laboratories , Improper experiential documentation, Lack of proper identity and implementation of Good Laboratory Practices, Absence of Phase II dose optimizing studies, and Lack of political and financial supports.
Areas of particular interest include:
IJRPHR also considers the Quality Control and the procedures for the preparation and characterization of traditional medicines, as well as the authentication of dietary supplements, as basic requirements to guarantee efficacy, safety and reproducibility. We encourages submissions which present observation and experimental investigation in translational and clinical studies, animal experiments, and in vivo/in vitro studies. Particular emphasis is given to the patho-physiological basis and the cellular-molecular mechanisms(reverse pharmacology) that underlie the beneficial effects of Traditional and Complementary Medicine.
The International Journal of Reverse Pharmacology and Health Research (IJRPHR) will consider for publication a broad range of scholarly contributions, including original scientific research papers, review articles, editorial comments, social policy statements, brief news items, bibliographies, research guides, letters to the editors, book reviews, and selected reprints. We now publish research and review papers, both unsolicited and solicited. We may publish opinion or commentary papers which are by invitation only.
