Abstract
Sindhu Vallathi Mezhugu is a Siddha formulation indicated for mainly Bavuthiram (fistula), Gunmam (ulcer), Kudalpaduvan (ulcerative colitis) and Kaladaippu (kidney stone) etc. This drug was tested for antimicrobial property against E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Candida albicans by agar disc diffusion method and hence the result of In-vitro antimicrobial assay reveals that the formulation Sindhu Vallathi Mezhugu (SVM) possess significant anti-microbial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Candida albicans and does not show antimicrobial activity on E. coli.Keywords
