Abstract

The disease pakkavadham which is more correlated with modernly diagnosed hemiplegia is only manageable but not completely cured one.  Lack of knowledge or less awarness of siddha literatures fading the shine of our system.  Because the core concept of siddha system is healing a disease by its root cause.  Siddhars gifted us a lot of medicinal treasures to treat human illness.  More classical siddha literatures describes about various medications/precautions that should be followed for safe and healthy care on pakkavadham.  However not detailed comparative analysis of these texts done in present time.  Hence a comparative analysis in the selected siddha classical text books with respect to pakkavatham care may help in better understanding and improvement of the current status.
